Big-time lawyer ran through a stop sign. 

He slowed down but didn’t come to a complete stop. 

A cop pulled him over and asked to see his drivers license and insurance. 

The lawyer asked “Why?” 

The cop says “I’m gonna give you a ticket for running the stop sign.” 

The lawyer says, “There was no one else at the intersection so I just slowed down.” 

The cop says “You’re supposed to come to a complete stop.” 

Lawyer responded “What’s the difference?” 

Cop says “What’s the difference? Get out of your car.” 

The lawyer did and the cop took out his night stick and started beating the hell out of the lawyer. 

As he was whacking him he asked “Now, do you want me to stop or slow down?”
